L'Etoile's Chef Tory Miller invited to cook at the James Beard Awards Gala

The theme for this year's awards ceremony is Artisanal America - the craft of cuisine. According to the Beard House web site, "The chefs cooking at this year's Gala Reception have been selected with the help of our co-chair chefs for their long-standing support and commitment to America's culinary artisans. They form a diverse group of chefs from across the country, each dedicated to using locally produced, sustainable, seasonable products - the true foundation of American cuisine."

ITALIAN WINE DINNER
Wednesday, June 25th

As we approach the start of summer and all the produce that comes along with it, we would like to once again celebrate the food-friendly wines of Italy.

Wine director Michael Kwas' focus this time around will be on the often unheralded Northeast corner of Italy.

We expect to serve wines from all three regions that encompass the Tre Venezie: Prosecco, Pinot Grigio, Valpolicello, the unsung reds of the Alto Adige and of course, Vin Santo.

Once again, chef Tory Miller will prepare a notable feast to match unselected wines drawing upon his unabashed zeal for Italian cuisine.

The dinner will begin at 6:30 and the cost for the dinner is $85. This does not include tax or gratuity. For reservations, please call 608-251-0500.

UW GRADUATION WEEKEND INFORMATION
May 16th, 17th and 18th

L'Etoile will be featuring a 4-course prix fixe menu for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening this weekend.  This 4-course dinner is comprised of an amuse, appetizer, entrée, and dessert/cheese.  Each course will have several options to choose from, including meat, poultry, fish and vegetarian choices.  The cost for the dinner is $70 per person; this does not include tax, beverages, or gratuity.  We regret that we cannot provide separate menu items for vegans or other dietary restrictions, but we will do our best to accommodate guests from our existing offerings.

L'Etoile is a small restaurant with a limited number of larger tables.  We regret that we cannot accommodate groups larger than 8.  For parties of 8, an 18% service charge will be added to the final bill.

A credit card number is required to guarantee the reservation.  L'Etoile accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners' Club cards.  The credit card number will be your guarantee that we will have a table waiting for you.  It is also a guarantee to us that the reservation will be honored.  There is a cancellation fee of $50 per person if the reservation is cancelled with less than 48-hour notice.  This fee will be drawn only if we are unable to re-book the table.  If we re-book the table there will be no charge.  L'Etoile usually has a waiting list for this week-end, which makes it likely that cancellations will be able to be filled.

For reservations please call 608-251-0500.
